Avax offers a variety of hardware and software products to support the
telecom industry.
Our primary product is the DS2000
data server - a totally electronic replacement for the
magnetic tape drives that are typically used for logging on telecom
switches. The DS2000 not only eliminates the tape drive it allows the
data to be transmitted to the central office via the internet or a
local intranet. Data can also be recorded to CD. The DS2000 supports
more switch types than anything else on the market. For a complete list
of supported switches and interfaces, click
here.
But the DS2000 can do much more than just record the data! Optional
software packages available for the DS2000 include Filter Module,
Reformatter Module, Alarm Module, Audit Module, Automatic File Transfer
and Backup.
For situations where you simply want to replace the existing tape drive
with something less complex and easier to maintain we offer our FlashTape virtual tape
drive. The FlashTape is offered with either SCSI or
Pertec interface and is a direct replacement for a standard tape drive
- the difference being that the FlashTape writes to readily available
Flash cards rather than to bulky and increasingly hard-to-get tapes.
One of our latest offerings for the DS2000 is the Trunk
Audit Report (pdf). The Trunk Auditing Report specifically
assists the carrier’s Billing Operation and Traffic
Engineering organizations to achieve their revenue assurance goals.
The AMAssurance
solution leads the market in analyzing AMA data as it
uniquely verifies switch jurisdiction, does timestamp to signaling
comparisons, and checks all critical billing fields contained in the
AMA records. In addition, it performs
“cross-checks” of information to validate each
field. AMAssurance is also the only verification system that can
validate trunk information and AMA modules.
AMAssurance does not require a DS2000 and can be run on any Linux/Unix
platform.
