Sabre Family: RXT™ SabreDrive D350: 2U for Disk
and Tape
The RXT SabreDrive D350 gives you enormous flexibility in 2U of rack
space. The SabreDrive D350 supports up to three drives —
three SabreDrives or some combination of tape drives and SabreDrives.
With the SabreDrive D350, you can add terabytes of RAID to your data
center, with no strategy changes or extra hardware or software.
It’s as simple as adding a tape drive. And like tape,
SabreMedia packs can be taken off-site. The SabreDrive D350 lets you
easily add the performance of disk, the mobility of tape, and the
reliability of RAID. If you need more capacity, add SabreMedia packs in
the same way you add tape cartridges, and to increase performance, add
SabreDrives. The data is backed up to disk, with your choice of RAID
level—RAID 0, 1, 1+0, and 5.
RXT SabreDrive D350s are one of the RXT Sabre™ family of
products, adding a new level of protection to your overall strategy.
Instant D2D2T
RXT SabreDrive D350 includes one RXT SabreDrive, along with housing for
two additional drives. Optionally, choose any of the following to
supplement the included RXT SabreDrive:
- Two 5.25-inch tape drives, such as LTO
- Two more SabreDrives
- One tape drive and another SabreDrive
- One tape drive or a SabreDrive now, then add a third
drive—disk or tape—when you need it
Easy to Install, Use and Manage
Manage each SabreDrive in the RXT SabreDrive D350 using a graphical
interface displayed through a Web browser. The Web interface leads you
through installation, and it’s as easy to use as a few clicks
and pressing a button. The front panel also helps you use and manage
the drives.
