TMSeries
is a family of flexible, powerful, affordable disk systems that provide
simple file sharing, consolidated iSCSI storage and data protection for
SMBs. Bundled with AccuGuard™ Tandberg Data's new advanced
data protection software with advanced data deduplication, the
DPS2000™ provides affordable, business-grade data protection
suited for the SMB.
With an easy-to-use Web browser, the DPS2000 Series installs quickly
and provides cross-platform network storage for safe, effective
storing, sharing and protecting of business-critical data. The DPS2000
Series ensures optimum data preservation and disaster recovery for all
business needs in a single system. Its block-level remote replication
provides offsite storage to another DPS2000. Its innovative hot-swap
design provides full data redundancy, allowing the DPS2000 Series to operate
even when a failed drive or power supply is replaced; and powerful
host-based deduplication software increases storage capacity while
reducing backup and recovery time.
Automated Backup and Deduplication
AccuGuard™ data protection software delivers reliable, automated
backup and recovery utilizing a powerful data deduplication engine
designed to increase your effective storage capacity, allowing you to
store 20 times more data. AccuGuard optimizes the data at the source
resulting in a drastically improved backup windows and reduced network bandwidth usage.
AccuGuard is available with
RDX and DPS2000 data protection solutions.

DPS2000 series features:
Flexible Storage Management
The Tandberg Data DPS2000 series provides users with the ability to
extend storage and share data on a single cost-effective platform.
Because of its versatility, the DPS2000 series can be configured as a
file server or an iSCSI target server providing simultaneous file-level
access and block-level storage for maximum disk utilization. File-level
volumes can be used for file sharing, D2D backup and IP video capture.
Sharing your files has never been easier because the DPS2000 series
provides the ideal platform for simple consolidated business-grade file
sharing across Windows, Macintosh or Unix/Linux systems. Manage user
quotas, accounts and groups via the integrated web console or through
simple active directory integration for maximum security.
The DPS2000 series provides a simple and flexible way to add storage to
a server. Each DPS2000 series can create up to 8 unique iSCSI targets
allowing users to extend local server storage without system
disruption.
Business-Use Design
The advanced RAID configuration of the DPS2000 series allows users to
increase capacity through physical HDD migration. During the HDD swap,
all data residing on the legacy hard drives is seamlessly migrated to
the newly installed drives without server downtime. In addition, the
virtual appliance stacking feature enables multiple DPS2000 units to be
stacked for increased volume.
The DPS2000 series features smart power management such as hard disk
standby, scheduled power on/of and auto power on after power loss. The
redundant power supplies ensure high availability.
Dual Gigabit LAN
The dual LAN ports can be configured as failover which allows the NAS
server to sustain the failure of one network port to provide continuous
services. The two LAN ports of the NAS can also be configured in load
balancing mode for bandwidth aggregation to boost the file transfer
speed. Finally, the DPS2000 series can be deployed with two IP settings
for sharing among different workgroups in two different subnets.
Powerful Data Protection Software
AccuGuard™ data protection software delivers
reliable, automated backup and recovery utilizing a powerful data
deduplication engine designed to increase your effective storage
capacity, allowing you to store 20 times more data. AccuGuard
intelligently optimizes the data at the source resulting in drastically
improved backup windows and network bandwidth. Data retrieval is simple
and painless with AccuGuard’s flexible file searching,
drag-and-drop restore and point-in-time disaster recovery. With
integrated Microsoft Exchange and SQL support, server protection has
never been easier.
