NETWORK BACKUP, DATA PROTECTION AND DISASTER
RECOVERY
DISK-TO-DISK BACKUP

Data Protection Units
The DPU/DPV family of innovative, integrated disk-to-disk (D2D)
appliances affordably protect and restore critical data and systems.
Rapid recovery solutions provides unmatched protection through a
single, powerful user interface for systems, applications and data
running on over 40 operating systems. With solutions for local backup
and off-site vaulting, the DPU family eliminates the need for
multi-vendor software and hardware by delivering the reliable,
affordable data protection small and mid-sized businesses need.
Local Protection
At the heart of the system is the local Data Protection
Unit™, or
DPU. It connects to your LAN, and provide disk-to-disk (D2D),
high-speed data backup and disaster recovery. Snapshots of
your
servers' operating systems, complete with passwords, permissions and
settings, are routinely taken at user-defined intervals (without the
need to first shut down the servers) and sent to the DPU.
This
allows near-instantaneous recovery of deleted or corrupted files and
folders…and more.
BareMetal™Recovery
These fast, integrated appliances also provide BareMetal™
restoration of entire failed servers, putting your mission-critical
systems back in business in as little as an hour instead of several
days. (BareMetal provides sector/track level data protection
that
avoids the need to format drives, load OSs and reinstall applications.
It can also recover a failed system to new hardware that may not match
the original system configuration—often necessary in a true
disaster.)
Application Support
Today, many core business applications have unique backup requirements
that must be addressed to get reliable and consistent backups, and
optimal recovery options. Each DPU includes application-specific backup
technology with support for Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL servers
and other applications.
A Complete Solution
Removable disks allow archiving at a nearby safe location.
And
our family of Data
Protection Vaults™ fill out the picture with
electronic, medialess, offsite vaulting for all your data and systems.
Together, it’s a fully integrated data protection and
disaster
recovery system—powerful, easy to use, and
affordable.
Enterprise-class protection for the rest of us.
Data protection units are available for everything from a
local network to a complete enterprise :
Recovery-300
With both looks and performance, our new Recovery-300 appliance is that
rare combination of form and function that delivers on the most
aggressive ROI and TCO expectations.
Recovery-300 is a small attractive desktop form factor appliance that
still packs a powerful punch. From its quad processor, 4GB of memory,
and four 1.5TB drives arranged in a RAID-10 configuration to its
whisper-quiet operational profile, this platform is an IT
professional’s dream come true. It’s ideal for less
demanding environments and supports optional USB and eSATA archiving.
And with a full complement of features, supported OSs and applications,
disaster recovery capabilities, and the industry’s best user
interface, it delivers value far beyond its size.
Of course, it’s this performance that matters most.
Recovery-300
offers the same benefits as its rack-mount siblings: support for more
than 40 operating systems and applications, hot and cold BareMetal
Recovery, optimized compression technology, advanced data-deduplication
mechanisms to conserve precious WAN bandwidth when vaulting data
offsite, and included 256-bit AES encryption for security.

Recovery-610
The Recovery-610 is the rack-mounted entry-level system in
Unitrends’ appliance family, and the architectural sibling of
our
Recovery-300 desktop system. It shares the aggressive ROI and TCO of
the Recovery-300 but is packaged in a sleek 1U form factor. Like the
Recovery-300, the Recovery-610 sports a quad processor, 8GB of memory,
and four 1.5TB drives arranged in a RAID-10 configuration. The
Recovery-610 supports optional eSATA and USB archiving.

The Recovery-610 offers support for more than 40 operating systems and
applications, hot and cold BareMetal, advanced inline compression
technology, advanced data-deduplication mechanisms to conserve precious
WAN bandwidth when vaulting data off-site, and optional 256-bit AES
encryption for security.
With this full complement of features, platform support, disaster
recovery capabilities, and the industry’s best user
interface,
Recovery-610 delivers value far beyond its size.
