Spectra 10K
High capacity, small foot print, reliable backup
device for stringent environments
The Spectra 10K library is a reliable and scalable tape storage solution for work group, data center, ISP POP, governmental and military environments. In only seven inches of rack space (4U), it is ideal in environments where space is limited. This library features a cast aluminum frame for reliability and rigidity. The Spectra 10k library with AIT-4 drive technology transfers up to 900 gigabytes per hour and stores up to 20.8 terabytes of data. Interface options are LVD SCSI and Fibre Channel.
With Shared Library Services (SLS), the library easily serves two computers using different operating systems and different backup applications. Since a library can be partitioned into two libraries, users can share the library with another department or office location.
Like all Spectra Logic products, the Spectra 10K library makes it easy to scale. Capacity on demand (CoD) allows users to easily add storage capacity to the library. Start with 20 slots and field-upgrade to 40, as application needs dictate. The Spectra 10K supports up to four field-upgradeable drives, allowing users to effectively manage their backup window.
Worldwide, Spectra Logic has over 17,000 libraries installed in commercial, industrial, educational, institutional and governmental organizations.
