Spectra T950 library offers you:
- Minimum configuration has as few as 100 tape slots and two drives
- Scale up to as many as 6150 slots depending on the number of drives
- Scale up to as many as 120 drives depending on the number of slots
- Cascades up to five frames with single robotic mechanism, which increases reliability and lowers cost
- LTO and SDLT mixed media or portable RXT disk
- Controller-based connectivity (QIP) , supporting Fibre Channel and Gigabit Ethernet with iSCSI
- Hot swap components, including drives and controllers
- A wide array of additional features , thanks to the T950’s BlueScale software environment
Technical Overview
The T950’s BlueScale environment is the library’s
core—the library’s intelligence. BlueScale software is the
results of a decade’s work in data protection and tape
libraries—disk, too. This intelligence provides the features that
make up the T950, and its ability to support new technologies as they
evolve. The BlueScale environment supports:
- Partitioning—Shared Library Services (SLS)—without external hardware or software
- Capacity on Demand (CoD) lets you add capacity, on demand,
simply by logging onto the Spectra Logic Web site and requesting a key
that you use to enable the new slots
- Hot-swap drives and controllers; redundant components; high density: modular design
- Guaranteed support, including Assisted self-maintenance (ASM) option and AutoSupport.
- WORM-compatible media, with LTO, SDLT, and RXT disk
- Observatory, Remote Library Controller (RLC), and graphical touch screen front panel to simplify library management and use
- A wide range of connectivity options through the T950 controller Quad Interface Processor (QIP).
- Compatible with all major operating systems, backup software packages, and standard data center racks.
